CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Continuing education is essential to assure that professionals have the current knowledge to efficiently and effectively perform their job responsibilities. Ellin & Tucker requires that all professionals receive 40-60 hours of continuing education each year. Ellin & Tucker has enhanced its continuing education through in-house education programs, a professional technology trainer and advanced training programs to address the needs of today's industry specialization.

Participation in CPA affairs is regarded as an integral part of being a professional. Ellin & Tucker highly encourages its professionals to become members of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). As an added incentive, Ellin & Tucker pays for membership dues with both organizations.

MENTORING PROGRAM
Ellin & Tucker has a well-defined mentoring program. The purpose of this program is to make the transition period when joining Ellin & Tucker an easy one and promote learning and professional growth.

Professional staff entering the firm are assigned a Level 1 mentor. The goal of the Level 1 mentor is to help transition the new professional into the firm not only through the technical process but also by helping him/her become an integrated member of Ellin & Tucker.

Within the first three months of employment, a Level 2 mentor will be selected. The Level 2 mentor is a professional staff member, usually holding a management position or higher. Mentoring sessions focus on developing long-term goals, setting objectives and the professional development of the new professional.

TECHNOLOGY
Ellin & Tucker is committed to providing every staff member with the latest technology as we continually redefine our business processes. Paperless audit initiatives offer cutting edge techniques that provide better and more efficient services to our clients.

We issue a computer to every staff member on the first day of the job. Employees have access to high speed Internet, remote access server technology, high-end peripherals and application software, and a highly skilled in-house technology support team.

TUITION ASSISTANCE
Ellin & Tucker provides 100% tuition reimbursement for any classes required for Maryland's CPA Exam and higher education degree programs approved by the Managing Director.

FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULES
Ellin & Tucker recognizes the need for flexible work schedules in today's world. Part-time and summer-off work schedules have been created to meet individual employee's needs.

DRESS CODE
As an alternative to the traditional dress policy, Ellin & Tucker has developed a business casual dress policy which promotes a more relaxed work atmosphere in the office.
