Founded in 1987, the E&T Forensic and Valuation Services Group has established an outstanding reputation as a practitioner and leader in the field of valuations. Early on, Ellin & Tucker helped create nationally recognized standards for the profession—and we continue to be involved in updating valuation standards, methodologies and theories. Members of the Group are also asked to speak on current valuation issues at regional and national conferences.
Business Valuations/Litigation
We have worked on cases for large and small privately held concerns, not-for-profit organizations, governmental bodies and regulatory agencies. Valuations have involved financial statement reporting, shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift and domestic pursuits. In the courtroom, we assist with discovery to expert testimony, have served as expert witnesses before judges, juries and arbitrators, and are recognized for an ability to explain complex cases in a way juries can understand.
Intellectual Property Valuations/Litigation
Services focus on valuations and litigation related to patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. We have determined valuations in a variety of contexts, among them estate and gift taxes, charitable donations, licensing, bankruptcy and infringement damages. Our team is also armed with extensive experience in commercial litigation in a number of industries, and we are routinely called upon to provide expert testimony before judges and juries on a wide range of intellectual property damage matters.
